Shackles

Shackles and D-shackles are used in combination with lifting chains, also known as fastening devices.

You have the choice between shackles with a screw pin ("screw pin shackle") and shackles with a bolt and nut ("Bolt-nut and cotter pin shackles"). A screw pin shackle is ideal for temporary applications, such as moving a load. Tighten the pin securely, just before lifting. A bolt and nut shackle is used for long-term and permanent applications. The use of the cotter pin is essential, as it helps prevent the pin from sliding out of the shackle (for example, in the case of a moving load and vibrations).
